I started listening to the back catalog of Joker remixes, and boy, some of them are god awful (the beats are usually tight, but Joker seems unable to make it a "remix" without overlaying the acapella of whatever cheesy track he's been paid to put his magic touch on for money). There are some crazy stoopid fly moments mixed into all of the rubbish, This here is a good example:
I wish Timbaland's Shock Value sounded more like this!
On another note, I found some minimal techno/weirdness that actually stands out from the crowded field, kind of in the same vein as 2562 but waaaay more German and technical. Mike Dehnert started putting stuff out in 2007, and I haven't listened to more than about 10% of it, but what I've heard is off the chaingz.

the sean paul remix is fucking hot too. kind of a proper "remix" in as much as it sounds like the original more than just having the same vocal part.
