bucky

you know how when you space out, and you think of something that brings you clarity, but it only brings that clarity temporarily, and only to a part of you that you can't even describe internally? as if you had a revelation, but it only occurred in your medulla oblongata, and then disappeared. on the same level of conciousness as blinking or scratching, something completely involuntary but if you focus on it, you can become about half-aware of it for a short time. like when you see the pantone color used in snickers packaging, and it automatically causes your brain to taste a snickers. buckminster fuller finds the words we think, but don't know we think. i THINK he tapped into a part of the brain that most of us don't know how to use. here is a quote of his that i hope causes your brain to itch a little:

"Everything you’ve learned in school as “obvious” becomes less and less obvious as you begin to study the universe. For example, there are no solids in the universe. There’s not even a suggestion of a solid. There are no absolute continuums. There are no surfaces. There are no straight lines."
